Senior DevOps Engineer

For our client, a fintech start-up with HQ in the US, we are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their lovely office in Brno.  You will be part of a team focused on building and maintaining enterprise level, cloud infrastructure for microservices, and cloud-native applications running on Kubernetes.

ROLE BRIEF:

You will focus on creating tools and technologies to support an enterprise software system hosted in Kubernetes. We will expect from you to influence our architectural roadmap. You will have a lot of freedom in terms of the technologies and tools to get the job done.

RECIPE:

·       Docker, Kubernetes 

·       Terraform, Helm, GitOps 

·       Microsoft Azure Cloud

·       Grafana, Prometheus, Azure Monitoring, New Relic 

·       Managed Postgres 

·       .Net Core and Ruby on Rails back-ends  

·       React/Redux with TypeScript front-ends

INGRIDIENTS:

·       At least 1+ year of experience with Docker Container Orchestration (i.e. Kubernetes, Swarm

·       At least 3+ years of experience Cloud infrastructure experience

·       Extensive experience with supporting customer-facing web-delivered software

·       Extensive Commercial Software Engineering w/ OOP

·       Experience with alerting, metrics, and data-driven improvements

·       Experience supporting enterprise/B2B software

·       Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux

·       Bash, Python, Ruby or other scripting experience 

·       Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
